Nick, an affable small-town hunter and heir to a wealthy rural landowner, discovers that his fiancée, Kori, is cheating on him. While out hunting one night, he captures a rogue, talking trickster Fox (voiced by Olivia Colman). To save her own life, Fox offers Nick a bizarre trade-off: she will help him fix his relationship if he pushes Kori into a magic hole in the woods that has the power to transform her into the absolute perfect partner. The Kori who re-emerges initially seems to be everything Nick ever wanted. However, things quickly escalate into madness, leaving him to question his decision in this absurdly dark comedy film.
