This comedy/mystery/folk tale, set in 1938, stars Robert Duvall as a backwoods hermit who lives with a mule, his shotgun and his secrets. After 40 years in the bush, Felix (Duvall) comes to town in search of an undertaker, (Bill Murray) to arrange his funeral while he's alive so he can hear what people have to say about him. Sissy Spacek elegantly supports Duval and Murray in this film as well.
